I can no longer deny it – it’s definitely the Christmas season. With the Christmas season comes the inevitable gift giving! I personally love shopping for presents – I put a lot of thought and detail into every single gift I give, including right down to the wrapping paper. I love giving thoughtful and useful gifts, and rely on gift cards only as a last case scenario.
But what about those ‘hard-to-buy-for’ people? We all have at least one in our life! Well, I’ve stumbled across a fabulous site called THE COLLECTIONARY that is sure to provide you with at least a few interesting and unique options for those who are hard-to-buy-for!
Christmas is just around the corner! While you’re busy shopping for everyone else, be sure to remember to get a little something extra for yourself. For less than $10.00, you can still treat yourself to a little beauty, style or literature treat, and not break the Christmas budget.
See my picks to keep your inner shopaholic satisfied until Christmas!
Alessandra is a HUGE fan of THE BODY SHOP. After hearing her rave about this product, I knew she had to write a review!
THE BODY SHOP has done it again! As some of you may know I absolutely love the products from THE BODY SHOP. You can find a previous post about their Nutriganics Drops of Youth serum on chic where I also mention my love for their Tea Tree Oil skin care line. Recently while online stocking up on skin care essentials, I came across their fairly new line of Beautifying Oils and decided to give one a try. Instant love!
Last month I started a monthly series entitled chic.deals, where I find beauty, style, and books for less than $10.00 CAN. It’s completely possible to add special little statements to your wardrobe or beauty routine for less than $10.00 CAN. It’s also completely possible to get amazing books for less than $10.00 CAN. Being on a budget is something that the majority of women can understand – for me, I’m scaling back on purchases. To know that I can still treat myself to something special and not break the bank is completely important!
So above and below, I’ve got 7 items you can choose from to add to your life without counting pennies. Keep reading!
I’m OBSESSED with H&M – I think it’s singlehandedly one of the best stores nationwide for everything from basics to evening wear. And with it’s affordable pricing, it’s one of the best places to shop on a budget.
With winter coming up, it’s time to start stocking up on your winter accessories. Last week, I was attempting to do just that and ran into a beautiful knitted wool beret cap at a small shop…for $100.00 CAN. I was floored! I couldn’t believe something as simple as a hat could cost so much, and with being on a budget, it just wasn’t feasible to drop that kind of cash on something I’d probably lose during the winter.
My first thought?
“I’ll find the H&M equivalent“.
Searching the H&M website, I’m pleasantly surprised to find 219 different accessories available for women. Come see my top picks for winterizing your wardrobe……on an affordable budget!
I’ve been wanting to start a monthly post of ‘chic for cheap’ items for a long time, and I think I’ve finally found the time to do it! With my changing job, I’ve found that I’ve had to reign in the spending and look for deals everywhere I go. Lucky for us thrifty ladies, there are a lot of deals to be had!
All of the above items are less than $10.00 CAN. If you’re looking for new ways to revamp your wardrobe, or add new accessories, on a minimal budget, these are great ways to do so. Cheap chic!
If you remember from a few chic.toronto.fave posts back, Wantable is a monthly subscription box that ups the ante by providing jewellery as opposed to the normal beauty picks. The second I knew it shipped to Canada, I bought a monthly suscription.
With the ability to customize your box and choose a preference of jewellery and accessories, it’s hard not to love the box created for you. See below the cut for June’s Wantable jewellery box.
