If you remember from a few chic.toronto.faves posts ago, WANTABLE is a monthly subscription box for either beauty or jewellery that is specifically catered to you. By simply taking a quiz, you get to pick your own preferences in terms of beauty and jewellery likes to ensure that you get a box that totally screams ‘you‘.
In the past, I’ve had a subscription to the WANTABLE jewellery box (see review here) and I adored it. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun it was to get jewellery in the mail every month. It was always a special surprise! Yet I was always curious about the beauty side of the website.
I was lucky enough to get exclusive access to a beauty box that was specifically catered to me. How did I like it? Read on!
If you remember from a few weeks ago, we discussed our skincare routines and how they differ.
I’m always interested in hearing everyone’s unique beauty routines because it’s such a definition of what makes us … us! And also, I’m a little nosy! I’m love peaking into everyone’s makeup kit and analyzing everyone’s tried and true favourites.
So, if I’m going to ask about yours, you might as well see mine! Here are my tried and true, desert island, beauty favourites! See anything you like?
Alessandra is a HUGE fan of THE BODY SHOP. After hearing her rave about this product, I knew she had to write a review!
THE BODY SHOP has done it again! As some of you may know I absolutely love the products from THE BODY SHOP. You can find a previous post about their Nutriganics Drops of Youth serum on chic where I also mention my love for their Tea Tree Oil skin care line. Recently while online stocking up on skin care essentials, I came across their fairly new line of Beautifying Oils and decided to give one a try. Instant love!
Ladies and gents, I’ve found my new go-to scent! EXPRESS, the lovely clothing store that provides amazing basics for work, has just released their latest fragrance entitled GLAM – and it’s spectacular.
I can honestly say I’ve never been AS excited for a product launch as I was for L’Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder. Everything about it screamed ingenuity for the drugstore cosmetic marketplace. It’s only known competitor at the time? Giorgio Armani’s Maestro foundation – a competitor beauty product that would set you back nearly $60 CAN. So needless to say, I was incredible stocked about this affordable over the counter luxury.
Never heard of L’Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder? You’re in for a revelation in makeup application.
It’s no secret that DOT & LIL is one of my favourite bath and body companies around. Hailing out of Montreal, DOT & LIL is the perfect blend of natural ingredients, vintage flair and modern touches (in fact, they were one of the first chic.toronto.faves!). With all products made by hand in their own studio, you know you’re in the best hands with Anne (DOT & LIL owner) and her company.
Seeing as I’m so pale, I never thought I’d be able to pull off a red lip. Also, I’ve got fuller lips – I always thought a red lip would accentuate them in the worst possible way (maybe I’m a little self-conscious).
