I’m always on the look out for great new bakeries within the Toronto area (last week showcased TORI’S BAKESHOP)! This week, I’ve found a great new bakery that’s put a very interesting twist on the delicious cupcake. Introducing PRAIRIE GIRL BAKERY – the old-fashioned delicious cupcake that just happens to be vegan.
As a gluten-free eater (80% of the time – I do cheat), I was immediately intrigued by Toronto’s Gluten Free Garage event. If you’re gluten free, you know that there isn’t as many places that cater to gluten free needs as there should be. Having a one stop shop for all things gluten-free was something I couldn’t pass up!
Luckily, the Gluten Free Garage invited me down to check out their Fall edition of their marketplace. How was it? In a word – perfection!
Come read some of the brands I got to interact (and eat) with at the event!
This week’s chic.toronto.fave is coming a day early!
A few days ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to try out a new shop nestled in the Church and Wellesley area. For my gluten-free heart, this was such a treat!
Introducing Fuel +, you new one-stop shop for all things healthy, nutritious, and sometimes, even gluten-free – and this week’s chic.toronto.fave!
If you remember from a few weeks ago, RETHINK BREAST CANCER held their annual ‘O Course‘ where participants raced in honour of breast cancer research. Now, RETHINK BREAST CANCER is holding their second annual #BattlePink! Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, what better time to hold such an event?
What’s #BattlePink? RETHINK BREAST CANCER asks fashion, lifestyle, and beauty bloggers to take part in a contest of sorts to help raise money and awareness for this great cause. Using brands like OPI, Swarovski, and eBay, these great companies offer PINK products to be tried, tested, and reviewed. Showcasing these products in a head to head battle, fans then vote on their favourite of the two! Based on the number of votes, RETHINK BREAST CANCER’s sponsors will make a donation based on the number of votes. Vote often!
Such a great cause! Want to see the battles? Read below!
This past weekend, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to check out the Toronto Vegetarian Food Festival. If you remember from my original event post, this was the 29th year of the festival that takes over the Harbourfront Centre. The three day festival offered over 100 different vegan / vegetarian vendors – everything from vegan bakeries, cooking demonstrations, speaking panels, and how-to’s. What better way to spend a weekend?
Come check out my recap of the event below!
